James L. Hoy
James L. Hoy, age 56, of Carmi, passed away Thursday, October 13, 2011, at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro. He was born February 17, 1955, in Carmi, the son of Luther and Florence Hoy. He married Kathy Hosick on September 21, 2002, and she survives. James was an oilfield worker for many years. He is currently employed at Trelleborg in Carmi.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy, of Carmi; two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Ann Hoy of Carmi, and Scott and Rachel Hoy of Mt. Vernon, IN; two daughters, Samantha Hoy of Carmi, and Crystal Nash; a step-son, Brian Bell of Grayville; two step-daughters and a son-in-law, Taunya and Bruce Guthrie, and Angela Koontz, all of Grayville; a brother and sister-in-law, Donnie and Jenny Jordan; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Wava Burnett, Donna Sluder, and Mary and James Buckner; fifteen grandchildren and step-grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and a grandson, Jason Lee Hoy.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 15, 2011, at 2:00 pm, at Stendeback Family Funeral Home/Kittinger-Fair in Carmi. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service in the chapel. Burial will take place in Bruce Chapel Cemetery in Carmi.
