Carolyn J. Holland
Carolyn J. Holland, age72, of Carmi, passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011, at Fairfield Memorial Hospital. She was born January 6, 1939 in McLeansboro, the daughter of Joe and Zelma (Hutchison) Rose. Carolyn was a bartender for many years at “The Spot,” and enjoyed watching soap operas. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert Holland of Carmi, and Billy J. and Anna Holland of Atlanta, GA; a daughter and son-in-law, Jenny and Larry Goff, of Carmi; four brothers, and three sisters-in-law, Frank and Lola Rose of Fort Myers, FL, William A. and Deloris Rose of Carmi, Jimmy and Betty Rose of Carmi, and Robert Thomas Rose of Brighton, MI; a sister and brother-in-law, Betty Lou and Fred Young of Carmi; three grandchildren, Clayton Holland, Deanna Holland, and Faith Ann Holland; and six great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death her parents; a daughter, Betty Lou Holland; and two brothers, Billy Ray Rose and Charles Robert Rose.
Funeral services will be held Monday, January 24, 2011 at Noon, at Stendeback Family Funeral Home/Kittinger-Fair in Carmi. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the time of service in funeral home chapel. Burial will take place in Maple Ridge Cemetery.
