   Planning a Funeral

Planning a funeral is a very emotional time. Whether you are pre-planning your own funeral or that of a loved one, or making arrangements for someone who has just died, it is important to remember that services are an important step in the grieving process.
A funeral is a celebration of life.  The service should be as unique as the person it is for.  We will work with you to make your service as special as your loved one.

   Pre-planning a Funeral

Pre-planning your funeral, or that of a loved one, relieves your family of having to make important financial decisions during a period of much stress and grief.
The ritual of a funeral or memorial service is for the living.  It is a time when friends and family gather together to grieve and provide support for each other.
Pre-planning can be very informal just by making a list and sharing your wishes with a family member.  More formal arrangements can be made with your funeral director. A pre-paid plan with a funeral trust, life insurance, or another method of payment can be made.  Pre-planning will give you peace of mind.

    Pre-funding a funeral

Advantages of pre-funding a funeral are many.  By pre-funding a funeral, your funeral costs will be locked in at today's prices
You can assure your family that you have selected and paid for the funeral service and merchandise you desire.  At the time of need, they will not be asked to pay any more.
Pre-funding does not obligate you to the funeral home where the arrangements are made and paid for.  Monies paid to a funeral home are placed in your name in such a way that they may be transferred to another funeral home in cases where you may move or choose another facility.
Pre-funding can save you money if it is necessary to apply for Public Aid for assistance with medical care costs.
