Margaret Daugherty
Margaret Daugherty, age 90, of Carmi, passed away Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at Phoenix Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 3, 1921, in Halefex, KY, the daughter of Grover C. and Rosa Chatmon. She married James Daugherty December 2, 1939, in Calhoun, KY, and he preceded her May 16, 2005. Margaret was co-owner and bookkeeper of Weal Drilling Co. She loved working in her yard, and raising beautiful roses.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Donna Daugherty of Madisonville, KY; a daughter and son-in-law, Roxanna and Terry Juenger of Carmi; a brother; two sisters; eight grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James; and a son, William.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 19, 2011, 10:30 am, at Stendeback Family Funeral Home/Kittinger-Fair in Carmi. Visitation will be held Friday, from 5 to 7:00 pm.
