Richard "Rick" Stanley Adams
Richard “Rick” Stanley Adams, age 52 of Carmi, died Sunday evening May 22, 2011 at his home. He was born October 6, 1958 in Carmi, the son of Hubert “Shorty” and Margaret “Maggie” (Gentry) Adams.Rick had worked at Hydro-Chem for several years. He likes electronics and film, especially designing and building. Rick was looking forward to the birth of his 1st grandchild, Olivia Rain.
He is survived by one son, Christopher (fiance, Bailey Uselton) Adams of Evansville; one daughter, Amanda (Kyle Bunting) Adams of Grayville; his mother, Maggie Adams of Carmi; and one sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Bill Duncan of Newbern, TN; nieces and nephews, Angie (Donnie) Taylor, Madalyn Taylor and Michael Duncan; also two of Christopher's friends, Douglas Wagner and Shawn Rice, who Rick thought of as his own children. Also survived by his grand-puppy, Schatzi. He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m, Thursday, May 26, 2011 at the Stendeback Family Funeral Home/Kittinger-Fair in Carmi with burial in Newman Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at kittinger-fairfuneralhome.com

Condolence message Rachel and I worked with rick at halliburton for many years , sorry to hear rick has passed on. Rick was always very kind and polite to us, we will miss him alot. i know rick loved his kids alot, he talked about them alot. Rest in peace rick , hope to see you again one day
