Condolence message    I am so sorry for your loss. John, like many of us, had a troubled soul but inside was a good man. He always worked so hard with the kids on the Legion team and was particularly kind to Lincoln. Again, I am so sorry.

Condolence message    The Newman University Community, and particular Jets baseball, sends our sincere sympathy to John's family.  John was a like a wildfire--during his time on the Kansas Newman College Campus he injected a surge of energy into our baseball program. . . and never ceased to bring passion to the game. . .and perhaps a bit of college-student fiestiness to campus life.  He was a most memorable character. . . and such a loss at an early age.  Please know that the University community will remember John and all of you in nd prayer at this difficult time.  Ann Roder Fox '81, Alumni Director, Newman University

Condolence message    John Boy. The Surgeon. Johnny Mac. The Big Magui. Whatever name you knew him by, you knew John always wanted to make people happy. He worked so hard to make others happy because that's where he got his joy. But somehow, it wasn't enough and he couldn't find his happy place. But now he has. With his mom and dad, who adored him. And he adored them. Now they're together. I love you, John. I hope you're happy now.
